Big Girls' Desk
9:28 AM
Chlovelle upgraded to a big girls' desk!
Thank you hubby, for hearing me out, and agreeing on this idea.
I love you!
Everything is so pink and it fits perfectly in her room!
Read on to see how I put all these together.
This was her previous study desk.
It fits her well when we bought it on 2012, but now the table seem too small for her assessment books.
The table top is spongy, which isn't very ideal for writing as well.
The idea of changing her desk came up in May, but I didn't buy the table because the price isn't right yet.
So I bought lamps and pencil holders first HAHA!
Finally after 4 months of long wait, the price of the desk dropped by $50 in September,
and hubby gave me the green light to buy it! YAY!
I fixed it up together with velle and come to realize I sucked at fixing things,
and I am so glad I wasn't born a male.
After putting it together and taking it apart for 10 times, I finally did it! ( at least I thought I did)
There is a drawer that's supposed to be at the bottom, which i got it totally wrong.
Although it looks perfect after everything was set up right, but to me, something was still missing.
1. I can't stand the white magazine holder .
2. The chair doesn't go with the table.
So we went Ikea and got these at $3.99.
Amazon was selling the same thing at $13! Outrageous price!
It wasn't until 2 days ago before her desk chair was ready for collection,
and that's why I am only blogging about it now.
Because NOW, it is perfect!
Pink microfiber with diamonds!
What's not to love about it?
I, too, got this at a good price, that's why I didn't mind the long long wait time.
Tadah!
This is how everything looks like now.
One folder for her chinese, and the other for her Math and English.
Do you know that this desk doesn't requite any bolts and nuts at all?
Amazing right? I can totally pull this apart like Lego.
Quite sure i can't put it back together HAHA!
But hubby will do it next time. hehe

First day of Kindergarten
6:26 PM
Today is Chlovelle's first day of school in Town Center Elementary.
The school in similar to Singapore's Primary 1,
whereby you need purchase your own lunch and take care of your own stuff.
The teachers don't baby you anymore, so the kids have to be independent.
The school system here is different from Singapore.
For example; if i live in District A i have to attend the schools in District A.
So for Chlovelle's case, we live in District A, but our address is under District B,
so that gives her a chance to ballot for a seat in District B schools (only 2 choices)
After many months of waiting,
i am very glad that velle got into my first choice school,
PLUS she is in the same school as Seraphina, only different class. But YAY!
I woke up at 6 to prepare her stuff, and she is up by 630.
Very cooperative and very excited!
New owl backpack that i could not resist buying!
Looks huge on her though LOL
Because she missed her "meet the teachers" session last week due to our vacation,
we reached really early to let her get use to her new school.
We were so proud!
She isn't teary or clingy at all, such a brave girl!
They each have a desk with cubbies to put their bags.
SOOO CUTE!
During their lunch time, i insisted to peep at her.
Daddy didn't want to go at first because I'm acting like a very creepy parent LOL
But i am just curious ok!
I wanted to see how they do things during lunch, and is she well taken care of.
We saw her "pay" for her food and carry her own tray (awwwww) to her table.
SO CUTE
She looks like she's eating well, and i left after seeing that she is fine.
(see! not creepy at all!)
School ends at 3, the long long Q of cars is quite frustrating.
I will probably park further and walk to pick her up tomorrow
Our dear little girl did so well on her first day!
Thank God!
Lastly, i want to thank Serene for helping me get her school supplies
while we were away (we were at Bahamas)
And special thanks to Danielle got answering my gazillion qns!
HAHA!

My first thought was… huh why so boring one ?! No animals?
All hiding under the tree T.T
Suddenly a wild emu came along…
Come here come here!
When he got near, we were all very frighten and quickly wind up the windows LOL
Hubby laughed at me for being scared, in the end he also wind his window up LOL

Doing the deed in broad daylight!
Some more under the hot noon sun… tsk tsk..
Head over to dinosaur world as it is near to Fossil rim.
