ADVERTORIAL – MERRIES BY Kao 12:00 AM

ADVERTORIAL - MERRIES BY Kao

What is the diaper your child is using currently?

Have you found your dream diaper?

I thought I will never, until I lay my hands on Merries from Kao.

Merries is currently the no. 1 diaper in Japan

because of its superb absorbency, exceptional breathability and extra softness.

Lucky for us, they did not keep all the good things in Japan,

because now the babies in Singapore can also enjoy the awesomeness of Merries!!

And I am so excited that I got my hands on 2 packs of Merries for trial.

Sweet hamper with Merries diaper in it.

Cute Merries bunny !

Tape diapers and Walker diapers

Some background information

Chlovelle is partially toilet-trained,

she only needs diapers during her nap and bed time.

Her nap time is 3 hours daily, but at night she sleeps for 10 - 13 hours!

I really need a diaper that is comfortable and absorbent so it doesn't leak

so she can sleep through the night.

Merries Tape Diapers

We started out with Merries tape diapers, and tried it for a week.

Previously Chlovelle is also using tape diapers, but with Brand X.

Merries Tape diapers have sizes ranging from Newborn to Extra Large.

Chlovelle is currently 10.8kg, so i chose size L.

The cutting of the diaper is slightly bigger than the Brand X diaper,

but I love the extra space and comfort the diaper provides.

Merries comes in 4 different designs,

with 1 design in each pack.

When I first took out the diaper,

my first thought was :

"Why is it so light weight and thin? Can it really hold her pee overnight?"

" Oh no, I am going to change the sheets tomorrow morning....."

I was judging the diaper by its looks because it is much thinner and lighter than her X diapers.

How it looks like inside the diaper.

Wavy top sheet which is ultra soft and gentle to the skin.

In comparison with Brand X.

See how thin Merries is?

I took some pictures of her wearing it BEFORE she goes to bed.

The front- looking very comfortable right?

Merries tape diaper have a flexi-fit W shape at the crotch area

that does not restrict limbs movement.

Close up of the front.

Did you notice the 3 yellow line?

It is a wetness indicator.

When the strip is dark green, it means it is time to change the diaper!

Perfect for first time mums who does not know when to change the baby's diaper.

The side of the Tape diaper is made of airy soft gathers,

and fits snugly yet gently at Chlovelle's waist.

Close up of the back.

Oh yay! Off to bed.

Chlovelle was very happy with her new diapers.

The next morning, once she woke up, I quickly check her pants and around the bed.

No spills! No spills after 13 hours of sleep!

I am impressed.

Despite being so thin and lightweight,

it has really good absorbency.

Chlovelle looking a little daze in the morning...

But her diaper still sits nicely on her waist.

Close up.

Did you notice the 3 yellow lines have turned slightly green?

Even after 13 hours, Merries tape diaper still stays the same shape,

and does not feel bulky at all.

A clearer view of the green lines, that indicates the diaper is full.

Diaper is stretched because the weight of the pee.

Wrapped it up before throwing it in the bin!

My review after 1 week of usage :

I was a little skeptical about the thickness of Merries based on looks

before trying it out. But after using it on Chlovelle for a week,

I totally fell in love with its superb absorbency!

Not only that, it is soft and light which is a plus point for long hours of usage.

No diaper rash is observed

(Chlovelle is very prone to diaper rash, and Merries did not irritate her skin)

A picture for comparison.

Merries Walker Pants

Merries Walker Pants

It comes in a smaller pack with carry handles.

Merries walker pants suits mobile babies that are more active and always on the go.

Their sizes range from Medium to Extra Large.

2 different designs in a pack.

How inside look like.

It is so soft, almost feels like cloth.

Merries Walker Pants in comparison with Brand X.

We also trial Merries Walker pants for a week.

To be honest, I don't use pull ups at night because it always leaks.

Close up of the walker diaper BEFORE going to bed.

It also have flexi-fit W shape that will increase comfort for active toddler.

Gathers fit snugly at waist, but at the same time it does not feel too tight.

There is a blue tape at the back of the diaper.

Chlovelle calls it blue sticker, and keep asking me what is it for...

Do you know what it is for? (:

After 13 hours overnight,

the diaper is fuller but i am amazed that it did not leak!

Although it is full, it does not sag like the Brand X.

I really like the gathers at the thighs area,

it locks in the pee, yet isn't too tight to cause redness.

The gathers helps the diaper stays in place, covering her butt even after 13 hours.

The answer is here!

The blue tape is to wrap up the diaper!

I never seen this design before, but i am loving it.

Velle's poop ever drop out while i was throwing her diaper,

because her previous pull ups doesn't have this design.

My review after 1 week of usage :

The first walker diaper i feel safe to let Chlovelle wear it overnight.

It is very absorbent, comfortable and not too tight because i don't see any red marks

on her waist.

The tape to wrap the diaper up after using is a plus point.

A before and after chart for your reference.
