30 days as a mom-dad
9:00 PM
Hubby left for work 445 am this morning.
I couldn't sleep from then all the way till 12mn!
Which is good because i fell asleep in a spilt sec lol
It is not the first time he went for deployment, but i feel a little empty knowing he is gone…
What is different this time round, was that i can drive!
Which makes things a lot better and easier.
Last night over dinner, i was brain storming how can i do a count down chart with velle..
Wanted something physical yet simple, so she can understand.
I also need something interesting, something she can look forward to doing…
I thought of letting her strike of the box on the calendar.. but…. BORING
Tried googling for cute ticker online… nothing…
In the end i went to to my box of art materials and dug out a A3 size construction paper,
A4 construction papers and some markers.
Initally wanted to cut out 30 squares but i cannot find anything at home that
is square to trace,
so i change it to circle… Went into the kitchen and found a medicine cup LOL!
Anyway it worked! I have her write 1-30 (very faint as she use a pink marker) on top of each circle,
and we paste m&m on each day.
I ask her to draw Daddy and our home..
TADAH! The end product!
"I miss Daddy" countdown ticker!
Basically she gets to eat 1 m&m at the end of each day,
by the time she finish all the m&ms daddy will be back!
At this age, i don't think she understand if i tell her 30 days,
or she might lost track or something..
Don't worry, the chocolate is wrapped up in cling wrap before i tape it to the chart.
She wrap most of the chocolates herself! We had fun!
The hugeass lollipop at the 31th day is to be eaten when daddy set foot at home!
The best for the last!
Taking down the 1st m&m,
which means we survived Day 1!!!
unwrapping it
Daddy will be back soon! NOMSS
I also brought her to a nearby swim school for a look,
she likes the place a lot and will be attending her first trial class this weekend!
Can't wait!

Chlovelle's first build-a-bear
11:30 PM
Chlovelle's first plush from Build a bear
We pass by Build a bear at Grapevine mills last weekend,
and hubby suggest to buy her a bear before going for his month long deployment..
Chlovelle went in and immediately said she wanted Rainbow Dash,
she have been aiming it for the longest time already.
One good trait about her is that she doesn't throw a fuss when we leave a toy shop,
or say we will get it for her next time.
Very patient, so very unlike me.
Step to activate the pump so the stuffing will be blown out.
Prior to all these, the staff asked velle to pick a heart and says something like
"rub on your nose so your pony will always smell good,
rub on your forehead so your pony will be smart,
rub on your tummy so your pony will never go hungry,
give the heart a kiss……. (i forgot what she said) "
Is it the same as the one they says in SG?
Checking out!
Tadah! Her first plush from Build a bear!
She is best friends with it now haha!
In her own world.
She wasn't smiling prettily, so i got hubby to tickle her. LOL
I like the effect~
I saw one of hubby's colleague raving about this place on FB,
so i googled and the reviews was super good!
The place is really pretty!
Although it was dinner time, i didn't wait have too long for my food.
We came for this! Takoyaki!
It was wayyyy better than the ones i ate at Japanese festival!
This wasn't expensive too.
I had miso ramen! YUMS (sorry no pics)
Hubby have bento set. I am really satisfied with this new japanese restaurant,
will be back again!
Our dessert!
Something sweet to end the day!
SUNDAY
Insist on going to the park to feed the ducks!
Hubby was okay with the idea since he is leaving the next day,
we are the biggest!
We brought our leftover but non expired bread to feed them!
Sorry this is the best my phone can do… lol
Was enjoying ourselves until 2 kids scare the WHOLE FLOCK AWAY
Seriously mum? Did you see what your kids did?
They did it TWICE!
I had dirty water on my face OK….
We went further away from the kids, and velle only had 3 duckies to feed.
She didn't complain though. Just enjoying herself…
I probably gonna bring her to the park again!
Next week if the weather is good!
